Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect only what you send us to request an estimate, we use it to answer you, and we do not sell it.

This policy explains how Plano Siding (“we”, “us”) handles information collected through this website. It applies to this site only, not to websites we link to.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request an estimate or contact us through a form, we receive what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the service you are interested in and any message you write — for example, details about your house or a storm.

Information collected automatically with a form

When a form is submitted, we also record the page it was sent from, the date and time, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. We use these to deliver your request, to prevent spam and abuse, and to limit repeated submissions.

Browsing the site

You can read this website without giving us any personal information. Like most websites, our hosting server may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, requested page and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how people arrive, and how many estimate requests, phone-number taps and button clicks the site produces. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. It does not receive what you type into our forms. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and we do not use analytics data for advertising.

You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or with your browser’s privacy settings. Google explains how it uses this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Phone calls and call tracking

To learn which ads, listings and pages lead to calls, the phone number shown on this site may differ depending on how you found us. Every number rings through to our office. To choose the number, your browser remembers how you arrived (for example, from a Google search or an ad) for up to 90 days in local storage on your device. When you call, our phone service provider logs the number you called from, the date, time and length of the call, and which of our numbers you dialed. If a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call.

Embedded videos

Customer videos hosted on YouTube are shown as a preview image loaded from YouTube’s servers. The YouTube player itself — and any cookies YouTube sets — loads only when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Google’s privacy policy applies to what YouTube collects.

Cookies and local storage

We use Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to measure visits as described above, and local storage to remember which phone number to show you. If you use the cost calculator or an offer button, those details are kept in your browser only for the current visit so they can be copied into the estimate form. When you submit a form, the site may also set a single technical session cookie needed to process the request securely. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your request, schedule an estimate and prepare a written scope
  • To send you a confirmation email that we received your request
  • To communicate with you about your project, including by phone, text or email
  • To keep records of our work, estimates and correspondence
  • To protect the site against spam, fraud and abuse

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for an estimate.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us run the website, deliver email, route phone calls and measure site usage (for example, our hosting, email and phone providers and Google Analytics), only as needed to provide those services
  • If spam protection is enabled on our forms, with that provider (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) to verify that a submission comes from a person
  • With your insurance company or adjuster, only if you ask us to help with a claim
  • When required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests and project correspondence for as long as we need them to answer you, do the work, honor warranties and keep ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to any records we must keep by law.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, applicable law — including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act — may give you additional rights. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security, bank or card numbers through our forms.

Children

This website is intended for homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.

Contact us

To ask a question or make a privacy request, contact us through the form on our Free estimate page (write “Privacy request” in the message), or use the email address or phone number shown at the bottom of this page.

In short

Privacy questions.

Do you sell my information?

No. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

What do you collect when I request an estimate?

What you type into the form — name, phone, email, ZIP code, service and message — plus the page it was sent from, the date and time, your IP address and browser type, which we use to deliver the request and block spam.

How can I have my information deleted?

Send us a request through the estimate form with “Privacy request” in the message, or contact us using the details at the bottom of the page. We will delete it, except for records we are required to keep by law.
