Siding replacement →Murphy, TX · Collin County
Murphy grew from a small town into a suburb mostly in the late 1990s and 2000s. Many of those houses are now reaching the age when the original caulk, paint and trim all come due at once.
On most Murphy homes of this age the siding boards themselves are still sound. The usual plan is to replace damaged trim and the few failed boards, re-caulk everything and repaint — which resets the clock for years. Full replacement makes sense when boards are soft on several walls or storm damage is widespread.
Planning to repaint anyway? Have the siding and trim inspected first. Painting over soft trim or open joints hides the problem for a season and costs more to fix later.
Many Murphy neighborhoods have an HOA with approved color palettes. We give you the product and paint details for the application, and match existing profiles so repairs blend in.
Every job starts with an inspection of the wall, not a product pitch.

Hail damage →FAQ
Usually not. At this age the typical work is trim replacement, re-caulking and a repaint, plus any boards damaged by water or hail. An inspection tells you which walls, if any, need more than that.
Trim sits where water collects: at the ground, under gutters and around doors. Once its paint and caulk fail, it absorbs water faster than the siding. Replacing it with a more water-resistant material is often worth it.
If the boards are sound, repair and repaint is the better value. If they are soft, swollen or cracked across several walls, repainting only delays a replacement.
Stay off ladders and the roof, photograph every wall, gutter and vent from the ground before anything is cleaned, note the storm date and check your policy. Then book a free storm inspection — our hail damage guide covers each step.
